David, dedicated to his job and ongoing professional learning, became a nationally Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) in September 2019 through the National Parks and Recreation Association. He worked over 20 years in Volusia County Schools as a Coach and Campus Advisor, and over 30 years at Volusia County Parks and Recreation, lastly as a Recreation Superintendent. David welcomed the opportunity to coach and mentor thousands of young people within our community for decades. ![]() ![]() ![]() Additionally, he coached on both the middle and high level within Volusia County Schools, at Holly Hill Middle and Seabreeze High School. David spent his early childhood in Daytona Beach, attending primary and secondary schools in Volusia County, graduating from Mainland High School in 1984.ĭavid loyally served his community by volunteering to coach numerous local sports teams to include a girl’s state and national championship in 2007, with the Holly Hill Heat. “Dae Dae” as he was affectionately known by his close friends and family was born April 7, 1966, in DeLand, Florida.
